Delete your Daysli account

In the app

Open Daysli, then Settings, then Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm. You can choose between two ways:

Delete with 30 days to change your mind (the default). Your account is switched off straight away: your public page closes, nothing is sent, nothing syncs. For 30 days you can sign in and choose Keep my account. After that, everything is deleted.
Delete everything now. No waiting period and no way back.

What is deleted

When deletion completes, we delete your profile and everything that belongs to it: your events, appointments, tasks, reminders, People records, your public page and card, your availability, the requests you received (including the details the requesters gave), your journal and its encrypted photos, your profile photo, your connected calendars, your devices and notification tokens, and your exports. Then we delete your sign-in account itself.

Before that, any appointment still to come is cancelled and the person is told, and requests still waiting are declined.

What stays, and for how long

A short list, and none of it holds your content:

A record that your account was deleted, and a security log of actions on accounts (what happened and when, with identifiers and field names only; no name, email or content). In the log, you as the person who acted are replaced by a scrambled identifier. The random number that was your account’s id still appears as the subject of the deletion record and of the log lines about your account, and means nothing without the account, which no longer exists.
Your username is held for 90 days so nobody else can take it.
Backups. Backups of our database are kept for up to 14 days and then deleted. If we ever had to restore from a backup, deletions made since are applied again before anything is used. Your journal in a backup cannot be read by anyone, because every copy of its key that we hold is destroyed when you delete.
A list of addresses that bounced or complained, kept as one-way hashes and not tied to any account, so that we do not keep emailing a dead address.

Cannot open the app?

Email team@daysli.com from the address you signed up with, and say you want your account deleted. We will confirm it is you by replying to that address and delete the account within 30 days.
